AMA – Aprender Mediante Amistad
AMA is a student organization at Colorado College (Colorado Springs) dedicated to assisting community students whose parents in many cases do not speak English fluently and are unable to help their children with their homework.
Tutoring Services
AMA provides weekly tutoring sessions in English and Spanish, to help students from Middle-School and High-School to improve their speaking, reading, writing, and homework skills.
Educational Activities
AMA also provides children with fun educational activities, snacks, and transportation accommodation when necessary. We aim to decrease obstacles to access educational resources while trying to help student learn through friendship and various activities.
Qualifications
- To access the services provided by AMA the only information required will be the signature of the student’s tutor or parent accepting that they know when the student will be with us and the transportation agreements.
