Food Access

Colorado Food Cluster supports growing minds with healthy, free food. They believe that delivering fresh meals can help students learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential! they’ve brought thousands of meal boxes to students throughout the Denver area and are excited to deliver many more!

About Colorado Food Cluster

During the COVID-19 crisis Colorado Food Cluster discovered a unique, unmet need for students who normally rely on after school programs to provide snacks and suppers. With school remote and after school programs canceled these students faced food insecurity. Colorado Food Cluster applied to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to deliver CACFP-funded snacks and suppers to students directly in their homes. Since Colorado Food Cluster launched in late October 2020 they have delivered more than 400,000 suppers and snacks to students in their homes. Colorado Food Cluster are currently serving 9,100 students each week, delivering a 7-day supply of healthy and nutritious suppers and snacks. But they know the need is great and there are thousands of students who still face intense food insecurity in the Denver Metro Area and across the state. Our vision is advocacy for every single child and youth that needs our support. For us it doesn’t even matter the status of the family in the country. We care more to serve with respect, quality, love, and compassion for the families and kids who want to have access to our program. We don’t ask questions relative to immigration status; all the information from the guardian and youths is confidential, and we can’t share it by law.
