Convivir Colorado

We support immigrant youth as they find power in their migrant experience and use it to enrich themselves and their communities.

K-12 Leadership Program

We are a 6th through 12th grade leadership program for immigrant, refugee, and first generation youth that helps them channel their leadership through the lens of their migrant journey, so they can strengthen their sense of self and continue practicing agency as they make a positive impact on their Aurora and Metro Denver communities.

We offer the following student programming:

  • Immigrant Impact summer program

  • Statewide advocacy

  • Mentorship program

  • Teach-the-teacher trainings

  • Youth Leadership Council

For school partnerships we offer school-based programming like after-school clubs, elective courses, advisory class integration, etc. as well as informational workshops in the form of culturally competent professional development and direct resources to students and families on topics such as:

  • Overview of our undocumented population
  • Immigration-related local and national laws
  • Best practices for schools to support mixed-status families
  • COVID-19 context and community resources for mixed-status families
  • “Undocu-friendly” school audit for administrators
  • “Undocu-friendly” curriculum for teachers
  • Accessing higher education for DACA/ undocumented students
  • Employment and professional licenses for DACA/ undocumented students
  • Know your rights and family preparedness planning

Colorado’s Human Trafficking Hotline is a survivor-informed resource created to connect individuals experiencing exploitation, individuals reporting potential human trafficking tips, and service providers in search of referral resources with available support services in a safe and anonymous manner.
