Undocumented Student Services at Anschutz Medical Campus

The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus remains committed to providing access to all qualified students, including students under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Advancing Students for a Stronger Economy Tomorrow (ASSET) programs. ASSET, DACA, Mixed Family Status, and Undocumented Students are valuable members of our student body whom we strive to ensure are safe and respected on our campus. We are pleased to provide a variety of services, support, and information for students, faculty, and staff to help undocumented students succeed at CU Anschutz.

MISSION

The mission of the CU Anschutz Medical Campus Undocumented Student Services is to advocate and serve DACA/ASSET, Mixed-Family Status, and Undocumented Students. Our office is dedicated to increasing access to health careers, supporting students in achieving their degrees, and creating an equitable educational environment. We do this by:

  • Meeting with students one-on-one for personalized assistance regarding any challenges they may be facing in their ability to persist in college.
  • Providing and coordinating programs, workshops, and events to support student needs AND educate the CU Anschutz community.
  • Working with campus partners to remove barriers for success, such as application processes, financial aid applications, and registration processes.
  • Furthering ways to increase funds in order to support Undocumented students through the CU DREAMers scholarship and continuous fundraising.
